It can be SO tempting to pull a loose carpet fiber but doing so will just make the problem worse. A better solution would be just to trim the snag as close to the pile as possible. The tiniest amount of glue to secure the loose fiber could also be helpful but since that can cause a bigger problem, we would only recommend doing that if you’ve done some additional homework and feel confident doing so.
