Polyester is an economical synthetic fiber so it’s one of the most common carpet fibers available on the market. Though not as versatile as other fibers, polyester has some advantages such as being stain resistant and having a more vibrant coloring. It's softer than other synthetic fibers so it tends to get matted down easily, which is a common concern. For this reason it’s helpful to have a vacuum with a properly adjusted beater bar or invest in a carpet rake to keep your carpet looking plush.
